Back Into The Past..

Lets wind back the clock and travel back in time...
I recently fell in love with the songs from 1997 again..
It's the Glorious: The Singles 97-07 from the one and only.. Natalie Imbruglia ...

In the early 1990s, Imbruglia was known to audiences as Beth Brennan Willis in the popular Australian soap Neighbours .Two years after leaving the program, Natalie launched a singing career with the international hit, "Torn". The subsequent debut album Left of the Middle (1997) sold 7 million copies worldwide. While following releases, White Lillies Island (2001) and Counting Down the Days (2005), have been unable to match the commercial success of her debut, the latter became her first UK #1, and all are critically acclaimed. To date she has sold more than 10 million records worldwide.

This is the soft and relaxing album of hers that I'm listening recently..
Glorious: The Singles 1997-2007
10 years of her best production merged into a single album..

Clubbing Fever!

I apologize for the inactivity for the past few days..
I was busy with my trials and all..

Anyway..
One thing that kept me moving on throughout the whole tiring process was... nonetheless..
Music!

I know this would be a little late to post about it..
but hey.. better late than never... right?

You know those upbeat head banging tunes..?
those which will keep your head nodding or your feet stepping throughout the whole listening process?

Those are my FAVOURITES..

Now.. I present to you..
Metro Station
- Metro Station..!

Metro Station is a pop band that formed in Los Angeles, California. In late 2006, the band signed a recording contract with Columbia/Red Ink.

Metro Station is the self-titled debut of the synthpop, ( a subgenre of New Wave and pop music in which the synthesizer is the dominant musical instrument) group, Metro Station.
The album was released on September 18, 2007, via Columbia/Red Ink.
As of September 2008, four singles have been released. So far, "Shake It" and "Seventeen Forever" [1] charted.
The album debuted at #189 on the U.S. Billboard 200, but reached a peak of #39 in June of 2008. The song "Shake It", has been certified Platinum.
Since its release, Metro Station has sold approximately 352,000 copies in the United States. The single "Seventeen forever" has been getting minimal top 40 rotation.

This is their track listing..

1. "Seventeen Forever" - 3:02
2. "Control" - 3:20
3. "Kelsey" - 3:17
4. "Shake It" - 2:59

All their songs are awesome.. I highly recommend "Seventeen Forever" and "Shake It"..

Next.. My second rocking out loud favourite album..
By the gorgeous looking twins..

The Veronicas - Hook Me Up..!

The Veronicas are a pop-rock band based in Australia. The band was formed in 2005, in Brisbane, Australia, by twin sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso.

Hook Me Up is the second studio album by Australian band The Veronicas, which was released in Australia on November 3, 2007 (see 2007 in music) by Sire Records. The album shows a new direction of music for the duo — exploring a new electro-pop sound, influenced by Los Angeles bands.

The singles released from the album were successful with the first single "Hook Me Up" becoming a number-one hit in Australia, the second single "Untouched" peaking at number two on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart and the third and fourth singles, "This Love", and "Take Me on the Floor" reaching the top ten.

This is the track listing..

1. "Untouched" (Toby Gad, Jessica Origliasso, Lisa Origliasso) – 4:14
2. "Hook Me Up" (Origliasso, Origliasso, Shelly Peiken, Greg Wells) – 2:56
3. "This Is How It Feels" (Gad, Origliasso, Origliasso) – 4:11
4. "This Love" (Gad, Kesha Serbet) – 2:59
5. "I Can't Stay Away" (Josh Alexander, Billy Steinberg) – 3:26
6. "Take Me on the Floor" (Gad, Origliasso, Origliasso) – 3:30
7. "I Don't Wanna Wait" (John Feldman, Origliasso, Origliasso) – 2:59
8. "Popular" (Beni Barca, Gad, Origliasso, Origliasso) – 2:44
9. "Revenge Is Sweeter (Than You Ever Were)" (Gad, Origliasso, Origliasso) – 3:43
10. "Someone Wake Me Up" (Alexander, Origliasso, Origliasso, Steinberg) – 3:35
11. "All I Have" (Gad, Origliasso, Origliasso) – 3:14
12. "In Another Life" (Gad, Origliasso, Origliasso) – 3:47

"Untouched", "Hook Me Up", "This It How It Feels", "Take Me on the Floor" and "Popular"
are those very nice pop upbeat songs.. One such as me will just adore them..

However.. there are those sentimental songs in their second album too..
They include.. "Revenge Is Sweeter (Than You Ever Were)" and "In Another Life".

This is all for now..
Listen to them..!
Get this awesome tunes stuck in your head..
You WON'T regret it..
Kudos to those who did it already..

Not Again !!!

Recently.. I learnt about the list of most annoying songs..
I really don't get it why some of the nice songs that I liked..
Are in there.. I mean.. "annoying".. isn't the appropiate description for these songs..
These songs have one thing in common.. Which is.. a background beat that will keep your head nodding away~

I heard the MTV VJ quoted that once u hear these songs at the break of dawn..
You can't get the tune out of your head till night fall..
It is that stubborn.. surprisingly !

I didn't take it for seriously at first..
So I tried to do what he said..
And I was utterly convinced by each and every single word spilled out from his mouth that day..
I really couldn't get the songs I listened in the morning out from my head..
and if I so happened to hear the songs again..
First few times.. It was still acceptable.. and at a mild degree of repitition I guess..
But if the songs exceed a certain limit of number of times..
It could pratically drive anyone to knock themselves out cold by ramming against any nearby wall..

I was scolded by my dad before..
as I unconciously played once of the songs repeatedly for 3 whole hours..
I was enjoying it at that time..
But the annoying part was starting to get the better side of my dad..
that was a laugh..

Now.. for the moment everyone is waiting for..
I shall revealed the infamous list of MOST ANNOYING SONGS..

Here we go..!

There you go..
If anyone wish to experience the annoying-ness of these songs..
You can request it..
And I shall prove to you.. How annoying there really are..

P.S. These songs are nice to listen.. Once in a blue moon that is.. But.. So true..

I recommend Blue, by Eiffel 65..

Outing of the Month!

On the 27th of September.. which was yesterday..
my friends and I went to an outing..

I was the so called planner of this outing..
for my side that is..

when I got everything worked out..
I then only realised that I forgotten about Zi's tuition schedule..
Gosh~
I was so sorry about that..
I was even more sorry when he couldn't join us..
he had a bad tummy..

So of we go, two girls.. and three guys..
of to the nearby city.. also known as Seremban..
Took a bus ride there.. and the recent price spike had also increased the bus fare..
That was unexpected..

by the time we reached to the bus station..
we got another taxi ride..
to the cinema place..
surprising thing that I found out was..
taxi fares didn't increase!
I'm grateful for that..

we caught the so called latest movie of our area..
"Pathology" starring the Peter Petrelli in "Heroes"..
Milo Ventimiglia..
He has the womanizer look.. doesn't he..?

anyway..
we had our lunch while watching the movie..
The movie was kinda full with disgusting scenes..
human bodies ripping out..
blood bath and all..
still.. my movie companions and I managed to chow and stuff our tummies full..

We got the birthday boys their gifts from some clothing stores..
We wanted to create a new image for them as well..
alter their monotonous look for a change..

After that..
my group split up into two..
The ladies and I went to the next cinema 1st..
the two other guys being the gentlemen waited for the next ride..
but later.. they seem were unable to get a cab..
pity for them to be stuck there a little while more..

On the other side..
we were getting some hi-tea at the Kopitiam..
The ladies ordered rice and all..
one of them finished her meal contentedly..
the other wasn't enjoying her meal at all..
she was.. as she said.. encouraged by the waitress to order something that they were promoting..
She thought she could give it a go..
that was regretful..
the right one was before she started..
the left one was after she was stuffed..
one could barely tell how she stuffed her tummy full..
I didn't like to see food go to waste..
and I was pretty hungry too..
I ended up recycling the leftovers then..>.<
It was quite tasty by the way..

So off we go..
catching the 2nd movie of the day..
"Money Still Not Enough 2" which is a sequel for the "Money Not Enough" 10 years ago!
It was a Singaporean production..
Some of the scenes from the 1st movie were repeated again.. just to reminisce them..
This movie was a slap-stick, HILARIOUS show!
however..
there were sad.. pitiful moments as well..
it was so saddening that I heard all the people in the cinema sobbing and sniffing away..
including my friend sitting next to me..
constantly wiping her eyes and cheeks..
IT WAS THAT SADDENING..!
It was about the family sacrifices and all..
they showed it in a very touching and dramatic way..

I rate it a 8/10!!
Go! quickly off you go..
Catch it in the cinemas nearby you as well..
A must see movie!!

After the dramatic movie..
we took a bus ride back to PD for the last event of the day..
or is it..?

The birthday guys were going to treat us for a big meal at the Hut of the Pizza..
there were like.. 17 of us..
so if you do the math..
it's quite the sum!
but we enjoyed it very much..
Laughters and chit chattering filled up the atmosphere as everybody gets heated up by the food we consumed in..
Passing sauces from one end of the long stretch of table to the other..
competing for food..
it was simply F-U-N.

after the cake cutting ceremony..
along with the pulling blown candles out from cake tradition..

Photo taking session was On..
all of us were posing here and there.. all around the Hut of Pizza..
taking turns switching photo partners..
we were such a poser!
I haven't got the whole set of photos..
but here are some of them..

Before the day ends..
I went back to my friends house..
for the 1st "Money Not Enough" movie..
a few more girls joined us..
but the situation was different..
everyone was busy texting their phones away instead of watching it..
LOL..

About 12 am..
I headed home..
That ends my Outing of the Month!

Was awfully exhausted!

But I wished something like that would happen again!!
